What it does
Play a YouTube video across your displays with nothing to download. Copy the link from YouTube's address bar or its Share button and paste it in — one video per app, and playlists are not supported. It plays cleanly on screen, making it a quick way to run brand videos, promos, explainers and ambient footage in lobbies, shops and at events.
Every app in the catalogue is part of the plan. There is no app store, no per-app charge and nothing held back for a higher tier.
How to play a YouTube video on a digital signage screen
Paste a YouTube link and the video plays on your screens, streamed straight from YouTube — nothing to download and nothing to upload.
- 01
Copy the link
On YouTube, copy the address from the browser's address bar, or use Share and then Copy.
- 02
Add the app
In the dashboard, add YouTube from Apps and paste the link into YouTube link.
- 03
Put it on a screen
Add the app to a playlist, give it a duration and publish it to the screen.
Good to know
Needs the internet
The video streams from YouTube, so it is skipped while a screen is offline and comes back with the connection. For a video that must always play, upload the file to your media library instead.
One video per app
Playlists and channels are not supported. Add the app once for each video you want to show.
Sound in a browser
A browser starts video muted until someone clicks the page. The Android app plays sound without that step.
Questions about this app
No — one video per app. Add each video as its own item in a SignageStack playlist.
Yes. A Shorts link works like any other video link.
Unlisted videos play. Private videos do not, because YouTube does not allow them to be embedded.
