App catalogue

RSS feed

Show the latest stories from any feed

What it does

Bring any RSS or Atom feed to your screens — a news site, an industry blog or your own company feed. Paste the feed address, usually the site's homepage with /feed or /rss on the end, choose one of many layouts from a single story to a full mosaic, and optionally add a QR code to keep reading on a phone. Stories refresh on their own, so it stays fresh in lobbies and break rooms.

Every app in the catalogue is part of the plan. There is no app store, no per-app charge and nothing held back for a higher tier.

How to show an RSS news feed on a TV

Point the app at a news site or blog and the screen shows its latest stories, refreshed on its own — with a QR code beside each one so people can finish reading on their phone.

  1. 01

    Find the feed

Look for an RSS link or icon on the site, or try the homepage address with /feed or /rss added.

  2. 02

    Add the app

In the dashboard, add RSS feed from Apps and paste the address under Feed address.

  3. 03

    Choose a layout

Ten layouts, from one story at a time to a whole front page or a news channel.

  4. 04

    Set the details

A Light or Dark theme, How many stories to use (1 to 20, newest first), and whether to Show QR code.

  5. 05

    Put it on a screen

Add the app to a playlist, give it a duration and publish it to the screen.

Good to know

Refreshes on its own

New stories appear without anyone touching the screen.

Keeps the last stories offline

If the network drops, the screen keeps showing the stories it last received, and new ones arrive when the connection returns.

Public feeds only

Any public RSS or Atom feed works. A feed behind a login or on a private network cannot be read.
