What it does
List the next public holidays for a chosen country so everyone can plan around them. Select the country and how many holidays to show, then a light or dark theme; the dates update automatically as holidays pass. It is a friendly addition to office lobbies, HR noticeboards and staff areas, helping teams keep track of long weekends and closures.
Every app in the catalogue is part of the plan. There is no app store, no per-app charge and nothing held back for a higher tier.
How to show upcoming public holidays on a TV screen
Pick a country and the screen lists its next public holidays, with how far away each one is. Handy in offices, staff rooms and lobbies, so nobody is caught out by a day off.
- 01
Add the app
In the dashboard, open Apps and add Public holidays.
- 02
Choose the country
Under Country, start typing and pick it from the list of 88.
- 03
Set how many
Set How many to show, from 1 to 12. The next holiday is shown large, with its date and a countdown such as "Tomorrow" or "in 3 days"; the rest follow as a list.
- 04
Pick the theme
Set Theme to Light or Dark.
- 05
Put it on a screen
Add the app to a playlist, give it a duration and publish it to the screen.
Good to know
Updates on its own
The list refreshes every six hours, so past holidays drop off and the next ones move up.
Keeps its last list offline
If the network drops, the screen keeps showing the last holidays it received and catches up when the connection returns.
Local names first
Holidays are shown by their local name. The next one also shows its English name beneath, when the two differ.
