What it does
Upload a PDF and show it full-screen, with no viewer controls in the way. If it has several pages, it flips through them automatically at the speed you pick — slow, medium or fast. Files up to 10 MB are supported, making it a simple way to display menus, price sheets, notices, brochures and reports in shops, offices and waiting areas.
Every app in the catalogue is part of the plan. There is no app store, no per-app charge and nothing held back for a higher tier.
How to display a PDF on a TV screen
Upload a PDF and the screen shows it full-screen — a menu, a price list, a notice or a report. A document with several pages turns them on its own, at the pace you choose.
- 01
Add the app
In the dashboard, open Apps and add PDF Reader.
- 02
Upload the file
Under PDF, upload the file from your computer. Files up to 10 MB are accepted.
- 03
Set the speed
Under Speed, choose how long each page stays up: Slow (10s), Medium (7s) or Fast (5s). Medium is the default. A single-page PDF simply stays on screen.
- 04
Put it on a screen
Add the app to a playlist, give it a duration and publish it to the screen.
Good to know
Plays offline
The PDF is stored with the app, so a screen keeps showing it while the network is down.
Every page gets its turn
Unless you set your own, the app's duration follows the document: the number of pages times the page speed. Each time it comes on screen, it starts again from page 1.
Whole pages, as images
Each page is scaled to fit the screen whole, with black bars where its shape differs from the screen's. Pages are drawn as still images, so video or sound inside the PDF does not play.
Questions about this app
Export a smaller copy, for example with lower-resolution images, or split the document and add each part as its own app.
No. The app cannot open it and says so on the screen. Save a copy without the password and upload that.
Open the app, upload the new version under PDF and save. Every playlist and screen using the app gets the new file.
