What it does
A live clock for your screens, in whichever style fits the room: digital numbers, an analogue face, a split-flap board, the time spelled out in words, or closing orbit rings. Choose 12- or 24-hour time, show or hide seconds and the date, and set the background, text and accent colours. It looks at home in receptions, studios, meeting rooms and anywhere the time should be easy to read.
Every app in the catalogue is part of the plan. There is no app store, no per-app charge and nothing held back for a higher tier.
How to show a clock on a TV screen
Put a live clock on a screen: digital, analogue, split-flap, orbit or spelled out in words, with the date if you want it. It runs on the screen itself, so it keeps going without the internet.
- 01
Add the app
In the dashboard, open Apps and add Clock.
- 02
Pick a face
Under Face, choose Digital, Analogue, Flip, Words or Orbit. Digital shows the time in numbers, Analogue a face with hands, Flip a split-flap board, Words spells it out ("ten past three") and Orbit draws rings that close as the hour turns.
- 03
Set the time and date
Choose a Time format: 24-hour (14:30) or 12-hour (2:30 PM). Show seconds adds the seconds; Show date, on by default, adds the day and date.
- 04
Choose the colours
Theme — Light, Dark or Midnight — fills in Background colour, Text colour and Accent colour, and you can change each one afterwards. The accent is the part that moves: the second hand, the ticking colon, the ring that closes.
- 05
Put it on a screen
Add the app to a playlist, give it a duration and publish it to the screen.
Good to know
Runs offline
The clock is drawn on the screen and takes the time from the screen itself. Nothing is fetched.
Words is always English
The Words face spells the time in English, on a twelve-hour clock, in five-minute steps. It ignores Show seconds and Time format.
Pick the theme first
Choosing a theme overwrites all three colours. Set the theme, then adjust the colours, not the other way round.
Questions about this app
No. It shows the local time of the screen it plays on.
Yes. Split the screen with the Zones app and put the clock in one panel.
The date follows the language the screen's device is set to. The Words face is always in English.
